Last year we originated $5.06 billion in new loans through personal, auto loans, credit cards and student loan debt.

 

Of course, we also helped 24,412 members secure new or used vehicles so they can live, get to work and play the way they want to.

 

We helped 7,545 members find and fund the perfect place to call home - whether it was their first home, next home or even building the house of their dreams.

 

We retained our ranking as the nation's largest credit union financial advisory business through Addison Avenue Investment Services with $358,248,696 in new investments.

 

We protected 15,187 member households and things most important to them and their loved ones through our independent insurance agency, First Tech Insurance Services.

 

When Marketing & IT set out to redesign the new Digital Experience Center (DXC), they took on the ambitious goal of improving how our members engage with First Tech through our website. That included the creation of more than 400 new pages, improved security measures and an abundance of new content all packaged in a user-friendly and mobile-friendly design. All the hard work has paid off. Following launch, our teams saw fast improvements across the site—including a 21% improvement in page load time and increases of over 300% in application inquiries for home loans and student loans. The new design also bumped First Tech’s ADA Compliance score to 97%—a 37% percent increase from the previous score. Ultimately, the DXC and Marketing teams made these changes happen to improve the quality of life for everyone supporting the DXC, and greatly improve the experience for our members.

First Tech's annual employee giving match provides employees the opportunity to increase their giving, dollar for dollar throughout the year to maximize their impact to organizations they care about.

 

The Volunteer Grant program recognizes our employee champions and empowers them to deepen their giving efforts through $250 grants that can be leveraged to qualifying nonprofit organizations of their choice.

First Tech is proud to partner with Free Geek, and support their work bridging the digital divide for families around the Portland area. With the quick shift to distance learning in spring 2020, many families found themselves without access to the internet or devices to support their child’s learning. The TechNOW campaign—a collaborative effort between Free Geek, Intel and First Tech—helped collect unused tech devices across the Portland Metro area to support hundreds of families and students in need. 

We focus on providing access to equitable educational opportunities for youth in our communities, ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed today and lead tomorrow.

We support innovative solutions to our communities' most pressing needs-removing access barriers and ensuring children and families have the food, shelter and safety they need to learn, grow and thrive.
