Spanning a list of 246 unique credit unions across the nation, First Tech ranked among the best credit unions in California, Oregon and Washington. At the beginning of this year, First Tech Federal Credit Union completed its merger with Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU), which also ranked among the best credit unions in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The Forbes America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions 2026 ranking is based on an annual independent survey, created in partnership with market research firm Statista. The study draws feedback from more than 26,000 customers, along with an analysis of over 1.2 million publicly available reviews and ratings over the last three years to identify the best credit unions in America. Each score was decided by 20% of the financial institution’s public score and 80% of the survey results.
