ATM and Branch Access

Your travels may take you to the far corners of the country, but you’re likely still near one of our 30,000 CO-OP ATMs or 5,000 CO-OP Shared Branches. First Tech members can complete regular transactions surcharge-free at these ATMs and shared branches.

Can I use my cards in other countries?

Yes. First Tech Debit and Credit Mastercard® cards can be used anywhere where Mastercard is accepted worldwide, including participating in international ATMs. First Tech ATM cards can be used at ATMs displaying one of the network logos shown on the back of your card. Please review the Fee Schedule for applicable ATM and international transaction fees.

Some merchants and ATMs may require your PIN. Simply log in to Digital Banking and select Manage Cards to set your PIN and it will be available for use immediately.

How can I help protect my card while traveling?

For added security while traveling, consider setting a travel alert and using the Lock Card feature if needed during your trip.

Is there a fee to use my First Tech debit card internationally?

Yes, there is a 1% international transaction fee on the total purchase amount for any Mastercard debit or ATM card. Please note that additional ATM fees may be assessed by other financial institutions.

How do I use my First Tech credit card internationally?

Your card(s) work globally, making it easy to pay and access funds while traveling. You may need to provide your Personal Identification Number (PIN) for transactions abroad.

How do I contact First Tech when I’m abroad?

Log in to digital banking and send us a chat or a secure message for quick support.

What if I don’t remember my PIN?

To set or change your PIN, log in to digital banking and navigate to “Manage Cards” where you can change your PIN instantly. Your PIN will update immediately and be ready for use.

To ensure the security of your debit and credit card transactions, we’ve partnered with Falcon Fraud Detection to monitor your transactions and detect any unauthorized card use. We are dedicated to keeping your personal and financial information safe, and Falcon Fraud Detection provides an added level of security to our process.

How do I lock and unlock my cards?

Log in to digital banking and navigate to “Manage Cards” to lock and unlock your first Tech card(s) with just a few easy clicks. Locking your card will stop transactions instantly, and unlocking will resume card usage immediately.
