Online Banking

First Tech regularly updates our Online and Mobile Banking features in order to improve your user experience. Check back monthly for our newest additions.

 Spring 2020

The artist formally known as e-Docs
Electronic statements, notices and tax forms can now be found in online banking or the mobile app in the Statements feature (formerly named “e-Docs”). In the mobile app, we made this feature one of the defaults in the menu section so it’s more accessible. 

Emergency Assistance Program
In times of crisis, First Tech activates the Emergency Assistance Program to support members in special situations. One solution in this program, the Emergency Loan, can be applied for within online banking in the Apply feature. Go to the Personal Loans category and select it from the menu. Because you’re already logged into online banking, most of the application form will be pre-filled to save you time.

Readability improved
We continue to ensure our digital banking features are accessible to members of all abilities. The Manage Cards feature is the latest to be updated and now includes enhanced text, images and icons that are more readable and optimized for screen readers.

Additional card security 
To protect our members we’ve disabled the default to remember your CVV number on your new card when you go to activate it. Your browser will no longer save or auto-fill this number in other places for your security.

Winter 2019

New External Transfer alerts
Sometimes it hurts to think about where your money is going. But we think you’re better off knowing, even if it’s painful. Check out three new External Transfer alerts in the Settings menu.

Bill Pay upgrade
You can now schedule recurring bill payments in your mobile app, and download a file of your Bill Pay history when using a desktop device.

Faster eDocs loading
We now have 90 days of eDocs pre-loaded and waiting for you, so you can spend less time banking and more time doing other things you love!

Fall 2019

Set up biometrics from the app
You can now set up Face ID, Passcode or Fingerprint access directly from your First Tech mobile app, instead of leaving the app and configuring from your device’s settings menu.

Quick Login is back
For devices that are incompatible with biometrics like Face ID or fingerprint, you can now use a four-digit PIN to log in faster.

New additions in Apply
Take the first step in shopping for a new insurance policy. We’ve made it easy to request an informational inquiry for our insurance services. Just log in to Online Banking and fill out the quick form in the Apply feature.

Payment made easy
If you have a student loan account with First Tech, there's a new field in the Transfer feature named 'Principal Only'. Should you choose to only pay the principal portion of the payment on your loan, choose this field for convenience.

Join our Digital Banking user group
Find the feedback button on the right side of the Online Banking dashboard, which links to an enrollment form for our user group. This group is open to all members. If you’re interested in occasional opportunities to participate in surveys or interviews about how we can improve, we would love to have you.

Summer 2019

Lock and unlock credit cards 
You can now lock and unlock your First Tech credit card(s) with just a few clicks. If you misplace your card and are worried about unauthorized transactions, lock your First Tech card with ease to stop future transactions. Unlocking is just as easy.

Easy balance transfers
Now you can consolidate multiple credit cards or loan payments by transferring your balance from an external, non-First Tech account to a First Tech credit card. Look for the Manage Cards widget in Online or Mobile Banking.
