Margaret Arakawa brings significant experience building brands, growing businesses and delivering revenue growth while working with customers to achieve their goals.
She is the Chief Marketing Officer at Fastly, the world’s fastest edge cloud network company. The company enables businesses to deliver and develop fast, secure, and scalable online experiences to their customers. Fastly’s customers include many of the world’s most prominent companies, including Pinterest, The New York Times, Shopify, Ticketmaster, Stripe, Yelp, and GitHub. Prior to Fastly, she spent almost 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility driving business strategy, product planning and product marketing in the global Windows, Security, and Cloud & Enterprise business groups. Most recently she was responsible for leading the multi-billion-dollar US Windows & Surface businesses.
She earned a BS in Applied Economics degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. Margaret and her husband (a firefighter/paramedic) are avid fundraisers for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Firefighter Stairclimb which helps raise money to combat blood cancers - the most common cancer impacting children. Margaret lives in the Seattle area with her husband and son.
