A little insight into Neil Vandehey.
I have been in the mortgage industry for over 14 years, and have worked for both large and small banks before finding my home here at First Tech Federal Credit Union.
During my time in the business, I have seen many changes in the industry. This gives me the experience and perspective to best guide my clients.
I specialize in working with:
- First-time homebuyers
- High-net-worth borrowers
- Low-to-moderate income borrowers
- Self-employed borrowers
- Investment borrowers
I enjoy problem solving, finding solutions and making the home buying process as pleasant and easy as possible with clear communication and guidance. A home purchase or refinance is a big deal, and I am happy to take as much time as needed to make sure that my clients are pleased with the outcome.
As a lifelong Oregonian, I purchased my first home when I was 23 and have been actively involved in real estate investment and property management ever since. I do most home repairs, maintenance and projects myself.
When not working, I am with my wife and our two young daughters. We like to explore local farmers markets, restaurants, museums and fun activities here in Portland. On the weekend you might find us hiking Forest Park with our dog “Sula” or up at our lake cabin in Washington.
I graduated from University of Oregon with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism 2003. Go Ducks!
