Traveling to across state? Or to another country? Give us a heads-up, so we don’t block your travel purchases. During those travel dates, we will keep an eye on your card but won’t deny any transactions coming from your travel location.

How will I know my Travel Notification request was processed?An email will be sent to the email address we have on file, confirming we received the request.
How many travel notifications can I set up?One at a time. If you set up multiple notifications, the last one you submit will be the only one that’s active.
How long can my trip be?Please keep in mind that your departure and return dates can be up to two months apart. If you’re still traveling after two months, please set up another travel notification.
I am traveling within the United States but outside my current residential area. Do I need to submit a travel notification?Yes.
I am already traveling. Am I too late?No, please submit one as soon as possible.
How long does it take to process my transfer?A balance transfer may be received and applied to your other financial institution's account as soon as 7-10 business days; however, it can take up to 30 days. Until you receive confirmation from your other financial institution stating the balance has been paid, please continue to pay the minimum payment due on the account.
Will a balance transfer hurt my credit score?Depending on your credit history, the results could vary.
Will I earn rewards or rebates?No.
I am a joint/authorized user, can I process balance transfer on my card?Yes, if you are a joint user. No, if you are an authorized user.
How can I check the status of my balance transfer request?You can validate that the balance transfer has been sent to the other financial institution by checking your transaction history.
Can I submit multiple balance transfers?Yes.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can transfer?There is no minimum. However, the maximum amount is up to your available credit.
How will I know my replace card request was processed?An email will be sent to the email address we have on file, confirming we received the request.
Does First Tech offer Fraud Text Alerts for credit cards?Yes, First Tech offers real time fraud text alerts. With text alerts, you can help prevent fraudulent transactions from occurring on your card(s). The service is free and enrollment is easy.
How it works:
- A text message will be sent to your mobile device when there is a suspicious transaction identified on your First Tech card account.
- Simply reply to confirm whether or not you recognize the transaction(s).
- If you reply that you recognize the transaction(s) your card will remain available for use.
- If you do not recognize the transaction(s) or we do not receive a confirmation reply, we will block usage of your credit card until we hear from you.
How long does it take to receive the replacement card?Normally, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7 to 10 business days, 3 to 5 days for expedited shipping.
Do I need to order a new PIN with the new card?No, your PIN will stay the same with the new card provided
Will my new replacement card have a new card numberNo, your card number will be the same, but please note that your CVV/CVC number will change.
