This past summer, we wrapped up our annual Credit Unions for Kids fundraising campaign with the CU4K Northwest Classic golf tournament benefitting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH).

Our Insurance team worked together with members, colleagues, credit union partners and vendors, and collectively raised a record-breaking $1,539,493 for CMNH. That money will be provided directly to six regional children’s hospitals across the country, with 100% of every dollar contributed applied directly toward life-saving research, innovative medical technology, and supportive care.

The fundraising campaign gives us all a chance to get creative with how we raise money. The Insurance team chipped in and supported the Credit Union for Kids cause in a number of ways, including hosting a silent auction, leading the credit union in a “penny war”, and feeding our colleagues and friends in several bake sales. We even got to throw a few pies in our bosses’ faces during a Pies for Purpose event that created both money and laughs for a good cause. In total, Insurance representatives contributed to eight different fundraising events and sponsorships throughout the month of fundraising.

We are thrilled to see the record-breaking results for the annual CU4K campaign. The team will aim to do it again next year, with a new record!
